Pharma 5 sets up in Cote d’Ivoire

Pharma 5 is pursuing its development plan in Morocco and internationally by launching the construction of a first industrial site in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. In December 2017, Pharma 5 laid the foundation stone of this industrial unit which would extend over an area of 1.5 hectares with an initial investment of MAD 100 million allocated to infrastructure and equipment.

This new investment shall enable the creation of 200 direct jobs (20% of which will be managerial staff) and 2,000 indirect jobs aimed at meeting the Ivorian population’s need for medicines at affordable prices.

Initially, this industrial unit will produce medicines in 5 therapeutic categories: infectology, virology, gynaecology, analgesia and antibiotics.

This new unit intends to produce up to 100 million tablets and 10 million sachets per year.

Secondly, the new unit aims to develop the export of its medicines to countries in the sub-region by operating as a regional hub with an effective start of activity for this project planned for 2019.

Launching this new industrial site consequently confirms the African ambitions of the Pharma 5 Group and the excellent relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between Morocco and Ivory Coast.
