For every 42 Kilometres ran in New York, 42 kids get to go to school in Casablanca!
– Noufissa Pharma 5 Foundation supports the participation of champion Thierry Ini in the New York Marathon
– For each kilometre he runs, the Foundation covers the cost of a child’s schooling for one year.
Noufissa Pharma 5 Foundation pursues its commitment to the cause of young Moroccans education. In this regard, the Foundation accompanies the champion, marathoner and professional triathlete Thierry Ini during his participation in the New York Marathon, scheduled for Sunday, November 3, 2019. The latter shall run under the colours of the Foundation and for a good cause!
The Foundation hand in hand with Thierry Ini are putting together this major sporting event, which has a worldwide reputation, at the service of educating the youngest. For each kilometer covered by the Morocco-Italian champion (42 km in total), the Noufissa Foundation undertakes to pay for the schooling of one child attending the Institution Tahar Sebti (ITS) for one school year.
The Tahar Sebti Institution is an educational institution that places innovation at the heart of its approach and provides access to quality education for all, from kindergarten to primary school.
This means that at least 42 children will benefit from this initiative. Not only that, but the Noufissa Foundation and Thierry Ini also go even further! For every minute under 2h30 record on the final time of Thierry Ini’s run, a new child gets to be taken care of by the Foundation based on the same modalities.
Yet another challenge that shall motivate Thierry Ini to surpass himself and give it his all for each of the 42 kilometers covered on New York asphalt.
“The marathon and sport in general, carry beautiful values of sharing, surpassing oneself, otherness and solidarity. This race is entirely dedicated to these children who will accompany me during each kilometre of this event. It will be a great race, useful, full of meaning and commitment for a better future for our children“, explains Thierry Ini

It is a modest contribution to the generalization of education and the fight against school dropping. Beyond the 42 kilometres and the 42 children, it is 42 hopes for a better future and a better life that we hope to ensure for these children,” explains Myriam Lahlou-Filali, Vice-President of the Noufissa Pharma 5 Foundation.
